What kind of wisdom guides your life decisions? Is it the knowledge gained from books and experience, or something deeper—a divine insight that transcends human understanding?

Pastor Andrew delivers a powerful message on "Thirsting for Uncommon Spirit-Led Wisdom," revealing the stark contrast between worldly knowledge and divine wisdom. Drawing from Paul's teaching in 1 Corinthians 2, he explains that those who crucified Jesus operated from earthly wisdom, unable to comprehend God's mysterious divine plan. True wisdom, he teaches, isn't merely accumulated information but revelation that comes through the Holy Spirit who "searches all things, even the deep things of God."

This revelation-packed message unpacks three transformative aspects of uncommon wisdom: the urgency with which we should seek it ("like thirsting for water"), the supernatural insight and foresight it provides ("God can reveal what you need to do tomorrow and in years to come"), and the uncommon boldness it produces in the face of uncertainty ("Don't be led by fear"). Through practical application of Proverbs and focused meditation on Scripture, Pastor Andrew guides listeners toward developing spiritual hunger for this wisdom from above—wisdom that can impact not only your present circumstances but future generations.

Whether you're facing decisions in your family life, career path, education journey, or any area requiring discernment, this message offers a blueprint for accessing divine wisdom that goes beyond human understanding. Ready to exchange worry for boldness, confusion for clarity, and human reasoning for divine revelation? Listen now and discover how to hunger for the uncommon wisdom that only comes from above.

Speaker 1:

Shalom, good morning. I greet you all in the name of Jesus Christ this very morning. It's a beautiful day, it's a new week, it's a new month, the very first day, first Monday, of the month of April, and we are grateful to God. He has actually helped us to see the second quarter of the year 2025. And this month we are reflecting on the theme of uncommon, spirit-led wisdom. The uncommon, spirit-led wisdom. I pray and I desire that. Do you hunger? And that's the theme that I want us to reflect about Thirsting for the uncommon, for the spirit-led uncommon, not the other wisdom, but the wisdom that comes from above.

Speaker 1:

And Paul writing to the Corinthians, to the church of Corinthians, in 1 Corinthians 2, proverbs 9, I want us to reflect and we see the lesson that we can draw there and we can be able to apply, particularly this week, on our day-to-day life in our family, in our career, in our business, because we're in school, in our family, in our career, in our business, those who are in school, in whichever area, you're trusting God for wisdom, may you have this revelation and reflection. And in 1 Corinthians, paul writing to the church, chapter 2 from verse 6, he says we do, however, speak a message of wisdom among the mature, but not the wisdom of this age or the rulers of this age, who are coming to nothing. No, we declare God's wisdom a mystery that has been hidden and that God destined for our glory before time began. None of the rulers of this age understood it, for if they had, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory. However, as it is written, these are the things God has revealed to us by His Spirit. The Spirit searches all things, even in the deep things of God, for who knows a person's thoughts except their own spirit within them? In the same way, no one knows the thoughts of God except the spirit of God. What we have received is not the spirit of the world, but the spirit of God, so that we may understand what God has freely given unto us. This is what we speak, not in words taught to us by human wisdom, but in words taught by the Spirit, explaining spiritual realities with the Spirit taught words. The person without the Spirit does not accept the things that come from the Spirit of God, but considers them foolishness and cannot understand them because they are discerned only through the Spirit. And you can see the Spirit is highlighted in capital letter. The person with the Spirit makes judgments about all things, but such a person is not subject to mere human judgments, for who has known the might of the Lord so as to instruct him? But we have the might of Christ.

Speaker 1:

Thirsting or hungering for the wisdom, for the heavenly wisdom, the divine wisdom. I pray this very morning as you reflect and as you meditate on this word, where Paul wrote to the church telling them what's delivering to them is that those who crucified the Savior Jesus Christ, they were guided by the earthly wisdom. My prayer this morning is that may you disregard, may you hold on the wisdom that you gain, either in the books or in the mere wisdom, or you gain either in the books or in the world, in the mere wisdom, or you inherit it from someone. But seek unto the Lord the wisdom that he gives through the Spirit. This is my prayer and this is the only wisdom that actually can transcend time, that actually, the wisdom that can actually you can be able to go beyond you, even to the future generation that you know nothing about. And my prayer is that, even whatever you are doing today, this very day and this very particular week, may the wisdom that comes from above may you seek the Lord through the Spirit, and if you are there, you don't know about the Spirit. You ask me, pastor Andrew, how do I get the Spirit, how do I connect with this divine Spirit that will lead, and how do I even get to know that? Indeed for sure, this is the Spirit of God, thirsting and hungering for the Spirit of God, and that's how we gain the uncommon wisdom, not merely the wisdom that we use in this world, but the wisdom that is from the heaven. And therefore three things that I highlight there the uncommon wisdom that comes with the urgency, the uncommon wisdom that births insight and foresight. And the uncommon wisdom that gives us the boldness and the courage to do all that we do In Proverbs.

Speaker 1:

And I really would desire this month of the uncommon wisdom, if actually we can meditate as a person and as an individual, for those who are in house groups, for those who are in small groups. Actually we can take, for young people, if you can take, if you can take the book of Proverbs. Proverbs has that one Proverbs Every day. Actually, you can have A word of wisdom From every proverb and in Proverbs it talks about Blessed are those who find wisdom. Verse 18 says she is a tree of life To those who take hold of her. Those who hold her fast Will be blessed. Don't just delay. May you hold it Fast. May you take it with urgency, the uncommon wisdom that comes with urgency. Don't delay, don't wait for another that says let me get this wisdom when I get to 20, when I get to 40, or when I go to 50.

Speaker 1:

The sense of urgency. May you tap this. This is the man that the word of God is released to us. May you tap this. May you desire it. May you hunger the way. When you are thirsty for water, you this. May you desire it. May you hunger the way. When you are thirsty for water, you don't say I will take this water tomorrow. You actually go in looking for that water now and now. May you thirst for that wisdom now and may you get it now.

Speaker 1:

The second is that have an insight. Verse 20 of Proverbs, chapter 3,. It says by his nourishment the watery depths were divided and the crowds left the drop drill. Verse 21 says my son, do not listen. Do not let wisdom and understanding out of your sight. Preserve self-judgment and discretion. May you always salute yourself with this kind of insult. And how do you gain this wisdom? By meditating on the word of God, by praying, by making sure that every day there's a word that you are meditating on it, even this week. Meditate on a proverb, one proverb or two proverbs. Meditate on that text that we have just read, that Paul wrote to the church of Corinth, 1 Corinthians 2.

Speaker 1:

May you gain the desire, may you desire to have this foresight, so that God can reveal to you what you need to do tomorrow, the day after the year to come, the years to come. That can only be God. So in BSF, as we reflect on the book of Revelation, you can see the wisdom that God released to join the reveritor. That's the foresight that you desire. So where do you want to see yourself in the near future as a young person? Do you have that foresight? It Can only be released through the uncommon wisdom, through the Spirit of God.

Speaker 1:

And the third one is the boldness From chapter 3,. Verse 21 says have no fear of sudden disaster or the ruin that overtakes the wicked, for the Lord will be at your side and will keep your food from being snared. Are you led by fear, wondering now? I have just graduated. I don't know whether I will get work. I know I have just gotten into the university. I don't know whether I will be able to get school fees. You know I have just gotten married. You know I don't know whether my husband will come back home. Are you led by those fears? What leads you? My prayer this morning as we meditate on this word May you gain the burden. Don't be led by fear. Don't be worried. There are people, even who stores food because of the disaster that will come.

Speaker 1:

We pray in Jesus' teaching about prayer. Give us our daily bread. God is there for each and every one of us. Don't fear that. What will I eat tomorrow or what will I dress tomorrow? The Lord will guide us and he left us with the Holy Spirit as a helper. May you hunger for this Spirit, may you hunger for this divine wisdom, and may God lead you and guide you. So may you have a sense of urgency, searching for the wisdom that comes from heaven. May you have a foresight or an insight that God gives when he revisits himself through the Holy Spirit and that thing, may you be bold, the uncommon boldness, the uncommon boldness. Don't be led by fear. So, the uncommon urgency, the uncommon insight and the uncommon boldness in searching and hungering for the uncommon wisdom of God. So God bless you. May you have a very successful week, full of wisdom, full of insight, full of urgency in knowing the will of God in all that you do. So God bless you, shalom.
