Parklands Baptist Church's Podcast
2025-07-13_Sunday 2nd Service: Uncommon MindShift Spirit-Led Discernment; By PBC Deacon, Timothy Ndegwa.
Have you ever felt like you're stuck in an endless cycle of challenges, wondering if God has somehow lost your coordinates? You're not alone. Even Elijah—the fire-calling, drought-ending prophet—reached a breaking point where he begged God to take his life.
Throughout history, God has ordained seasons in our lives. Just as nature moves through summer and winter, our spiritual journeys experience both triumph and trial. The difference between despair and breakthrough often lies in our ability to discern which season we're in and hear God's voice within it.
What's fascinating about Elijah's wilderness moment is God's response. No lightning bolts or dramatic interventions—just an angel with bread, water, and gentle instructions: "Get up and eat, for the journey is too much for you." Sometimes our greatest breakthrough comes not through spectacular deliverance but through God's tender provision of strength for the next step.
The sermon explores three critical aspects of spiritual discernment. First, we must recognize our seasons, understanding that difficult periods have expiration dates. Second, we need to attune ourselves to God's "still, small voice"—not always found in dramatic displays but in gentle whispers that require silence to hear. Finally, when God's direction comes, we must respond decisively like Elisha, who immediately left his oxen when Elijah's cloak fell on him.
Your current struggles don't define your future. God is speaking to you right now about the way forward—perhaps not through earthquake, wind or fire, but through the quiet promptings of His Spirit. Are you creating space to hear His voice? Are you ready to act when His direction comes? This season of uncommon impartation awaits those who position themselves to discern and respond to the God who specializes in turning mourning into dancing.
What season are you in right now? More importantly, what is God saying about it? Take time today to quiet your heart, listen for His "gentle whisper," and prepare for the unexpected ways He'll lead you into breakthrough.

Our scripture comes from the book of 1 Kings, chapter 19. I'll be dwelling on chapter 19, all of it, but for the reading we shall read from verse 1 to verse 9. 1 Kings, chapter 19,. From verse 1 to verse 9. The Bible says Now Ahab told Jezebel everything that Erijah had done and how he had killed all the prophets with a sword. So Jezebel sent a messenger to Elijah to say may the God deal with me, be it so severely, if by this time tomorrow I do not make your life like the one of them.
Speaker 1:Elijah was afraid and ran for his life when he came to Beersheba in Judah. He left his servant there, while he himself went a day's journey into the wilderness. He came to a broom. Bush sat down under it and prayed that he might die. I have heard enough, lord. He said. Take my life. I am no better than my ancestors. Then he ran down under the bush and fell asleep. All at once an angel touched him and said Get up and eat. He looked around and there, by his head, was some bread baked over hot coals and a jar of water. He ate and drank, and then he reared down again. The angel of the Lord came back a second time and touched him and said get up and eat, for the journey is too much for you. So he got up and ate and drank. Strengthened by that food, he traveled for 40 days and 40 nights till he reached Horeb, the mountain of God. There he went into a cave and spent the night.
Speaker 1:And that's the word of the Lord. May we sit down as we take time to pray. Father, I thank you so much for this beautiful time that you've given us to hear your word. I'm so delighted that I'm standing, oh God, in the presence of you, lord, because you are here. I'm grateful that, god, you're going to use my lips, lord, to share what you've prepared for your children. I pray as I do so, god, no one will go home the same way they came, but they will experience the faithfulness, the grace, the mercy and the kindness of God that their lives will never be the same. Because, god, your presence makes a difference in our lives. We are grateful that you have come and you are here with us. We are grateful that you are our God and our King, for we pray this believing and trusting in your beautiful name. And the children of God said our King, for we pray this, believing and trusting in your beautiful name, and the children of God said amen, amen. I'm so grateful to God that he has given me an opportunity to share the word of God. I am so happy that God could choose me this day to stand in front of you.
Speaker 1:Yesterday, when I was preparing and praying, god said you are a work in progress, my son. You are a work in progress, and so look at your neighbor and tell them you'll be preached to by a work in progress. Yes, a work in progress is still doing a lot in my life and I want to appreciate our senior pastor. Can you imagine he agrees a work in progress to stand here? Wow, I'm telling you, hey, ibrahim, senior pastor, can you imagine he agrees work in progress to stand here? Wow, I'm telling you, hey, ibrahim senior pastor. Hey, no wonder I'm work in progress. I cannot allow anyone who is God is working on to stand in front of his children. But I thank God that I'm work in progress and something good is happening in my life. I am also delighted that my wife, who every day sees this work in progress in fact, she has been subcontracted to sometimes work on this work in progress she's here in the congregation, just stand up and wave Hallelujah. That's my girl. She saw me when I was size 16. I'm size 36, and she still believes that I'm the most handsome guy in the whole world.
Speaker 1:Now that is faith. Tell your neighbor evidence of things we hope In Jesus' name. Are you ready to hear the word of God? Amen, I'm here and I know God is going to speak to us. Let me tell you something Every one of us is in a season and God is the ordainer of seasons.
Speaker 1:He ordains seasons, he is the one who says when the season should start and he's the one who makes sure when a season is over, that season he calls it to an end. The Bible says in the book of Genesis, chapter 8, verse 22,. In the book of Genesis, chapter 8, verse 22. As the earth endures, or the earth is ever present, daytime and night, we never miss Seed time and harvest time. We never cease, because there is a God who makes sure that there is summer and there is a God who makes there is winter. This is our God.
Speaker 1:He is ordainer of seasons and as a church we have been going through a season, and this season is called uncommon spirit-led impartation. God made that this church will be in a season that is uncommon. And I don't know if any one of us has experienced uncommon thing in their lives. Because when we know that we are in a season, one of the things that it help us to know is to make sure that we don't get discouraged or sometimes we get so frustrated because even when you're going through a season, if you can be able to design how many people know that we're in the month of discerning? So if you can discern the season that you are in, you will never get frustrated. And this year God said this will be the year of uncommon, mind-spirit-led impartation. So in January we had uncommon vision where God set us up and said said this is the vision I'm casting for this church. And so we went through the uncommon vision and the second month because God knew that this would be the month of spirit led he took us to uncommon life.
Speaker 1:Because the Bible says those who are read by the spirit or those who are born in the spirit will do the things of the spirit. You are read by the Spirit. Or those who are born in the Spirit will do the things of the Spirit. You are read by the Spirit if you have zoe life in your life and so if you never caught that season, you may end up missing the whole year, because how will you be led by a Spirit that doesn't live in your life?
Speaker 1:On the third month we talked about uncommon justice, where God wanted to put some emphasis and to tell us we can be able to operate under spirit led because we had a position in God. On the fourth month, god started speaking to us about uncommon wisdom, because when we get the spirit of God and we are able to be in a place where we have justice and we know our standing in God, wisdom flows in our lives. And so we got into those seasons, a season of wisdom. On the fifth month God said it shall be uncommon utterance. How many people know that when you have wisdom, you can speak good things? And so God put us into a season of wisdom and now we were in a place where we can be able to utter things and we went to uncommon utterance, when you utter things that are godly, that are spirit-led. That season God brought us to last month when we started talking about reception and common reception. So those are not good topics, those are not good ideas.
Speaker 1:It is seasons that God is taking us through as a congregation. And so this month, when we talk about mind shift, are you still in the last year's season or you have shifted your mind to understand what God is doing? Are you designing the season that God has put us into so that you can benefit this year by understanding that we are in a season of uncommon situations? I pray that this year will not end unless something uncommon happens in your life. Let me tell you, when we discern God in a season, we don't get frustrated. When a pregnant woman is having a discernment that they are carrying a baby, they don't care who come to church and overtake them. They will come at their pace because they know I am in a season and so I don't care who overtakes me. They will see a lady with a skirt suit and they will not feel envious and they will not feel frustrated. Why? Because they know I am in a season. I tell you you are in a season. So look at your neighbor and tell them you're in a season, this season that you are. Some of you are going through a very difficult season and if your neighbor just told you the season they are in, some of you will leave this church, never to come again. You ask God where are you? How did you lose my GPRS? Where I stay? Because the season they are in there might be no season, but what keeps them in this season is because they have an understanding that the race is not for the swift, neither the bread for the wise, but chance and time happen to them all. Every chance and time happen to them all. Every chance and time they can design that this is not for the race of the swift. So they don't care that I don't have a job. It's just for a season when I design and know that what is not happening in my life. I will not be envious with you because it can be slow, but I know this is just for a season and I can tell you season can change. Seasons that are awesome can change to be seasons that can be nightmares.
Speaker 1:The story we have read about Elijah if you have ever read about and studied about Elijah, you'll be so surprised the things he did. I pray like a man of God that one day he can do some of these things. Do you know? Elijah stood up one day and said it will not rain unless I say it. He said I have closed heaven and there was no rain in the land. And he said I will make sure the day I say it will rain, that's the day it will rain. They stayed until there was drought. This was a man in a season operating the things of God.
Speaker 1:The scripture says that at one time he saw some prophets who were obeying other gods and they were prophesying with the power of other gods, and he speaks to them and tells them let's come and show of who our God is. So he gathered them around and told them let's put a sacrifice and not write it with a matchbox, but make sure that you call your God and let the fire come down. The scripture records and says they prayed for a whole day. They cut themselves with stones, but the fire never came. When Nariah stood up, he said put water, add some water on this sacrifice. They put some water. They looked at it. If you read it in the first Kings, chapter 17,. He said no, no, no, add some more. They did it. King, chapter 17. He said no, no, no, add some more. They did it. At one time he stood up and said may the fire of God come upon this sacrifice. The scripture records and says the water, the meat, the stones, the wood that was there was consumed by fire. That was a writer for you. That's called nuclear bomb. He called it from heaven and cleared the whole sacrifice. That is the kind of a man a raja was. But when we read verse 19,.
Speaker 1:After he had done this, another season came. The scripture records and says that those prophets he killed them. Then Jeze, and says that those prophets, he killed them. Then Jezebel heard about it and he said tomorrow, a time like this, I'll kill Elijah. And he sent a servant. The scripture says in verse 3 that Elijah was so afraid and ran for his life when he came to Beersheba in Judah, he left his servant while he himself went for a day's journey into wilderness. He came to Beersheba in Judah, he left his servant while he himself went for a day's journey into wilderness. He came to a broom. Bush sat down under it and prayed that he might die. Can you imagine A man who could call fire from heaven, just like a lady stood up and said I will kill you tomorrow. And the man left because he could not see God and he said Father, kill me before I'm killed by this woman.
Speaker 1:The Scripture records and says the children of Israel were One time the children of Israel. They could see God manifest in Egypt. They saw him turn a whole city dark for 24 hours. They saw the flocks. They saw the livers in Egypt turning into blood. They saw God killing every firstborn of Egyptian. But the scripture records it says in the book of Exodus, chapter 14, that when they saw those Egyptians coming after them, they went to Moses and said how could you bring us from this place? Why did you want us to die in this place? Why could you allow us to die in Egypt and be buried there? Are you crazy? What is the problem with you? It's better we could have died.
Speaker 1:The disciples were in the same situation. The scripture record says they were going. It's the book of Mark, chapter 14,. They were going and they had seen Jesus perform miracles. This is a man who had raised men from dead. This is a man who had fed 5,000 men. This was a man who had raised men from dead. This is a man who had fed 5,000 men. This was a man who had made sure the bright sea, the deaf ear, the rain walk. They had seen all these things and then the boat got into them and they were in waters and there was a storm and they went to Jesus, don't you care, we die.
Speaker 1:Everyone here is about to die. They are just praying those kind of prayers. These are men and women who we prayed here and we told god, give them a job. And god gave them a job. Then the same company wrote to them and tell them we not need your services anymore. And they walked home with that paper and they said god, I better, I better die. They are told your services are no longer needed in this place. But they could not discern God. They all looked at their problem, they all looked at the situation. Their mind got so stuck in the common things, in the common provision of God. When we are in this church there are people who are seated with you that receive such a letter, and today they are so frustrated they don't understand.
Speaker 1:It's just for a season, just because your love life has gone to haywire and a divorce has come and now you're saying God, god, kill me. It's just for a season. There is a way out. Tell your neighbor, there is a way out. Let's shift our mind to see the way of God.
Speaker 1:This is a man of uncommon mindship, just because things were working out and now they're not working out. You are not out. God will make a way out, because the Bible says let's read verse 4. Well, verse 5. I'm looking for verse 5. Let's start verse 4.
Speaker 1:Well, he himself went on a day journey, yes, and he wants to take my life Verse 5. Then he lay down under the bush and he fell asleep. But the scripture says all at once, tell your neighbor. All at once. The angel touched him and said wake up and eat. I came to speak to somebody whose season has been difficult. Wake up and eat, for the angel of the Lord has come upon your life. Wake up, the Bible says. He said wake up and eat, for your season has come to an end. The angel of the Lord touched this man who was discouraged.
Speaker 1:Let me shock you, children of God. Do you know Elijah, this guy who is talking about dying? He never died in his life. There's scripture records and says that he was taken by a wee-weed and he was taken to heaven. When we get to heaven, one of the stories that Elijah is looking forward to see is those who died. How did you feel? Because he never had death in his life. The thing that you think is going to kill you. It will not kill you because God has sent for an angel. If you can discern the power that is awaking in your life, you can look and say I will not die.
Speaker 1:Let me tell you, the children of Israel were in Egypt for a long time and they saw these Egyptians coming after them and they were so worried that they told Moses why did you bring us here? The scripture says and God appeared to Moses and he told him go ahead, march forth. And Moses looks at them and tells them the Egyptians. You see today you see them no more Because your season has not come to take you out. This season is just for a way, but God will make a way out in this trouble that you're in, if we can design God.
Speaker 1:In this month he was able to see the disciples coming to him and saying don't you care? We die, jesus, don't you? Why are you asleep when I've lost my job? Where are you asleep when my child is taking drugs? Where are you asleep when I'm struggling, when I have nothing and they're coming for my things? They want to auction them. Where are you? It's just for a season, because he stood up and said you, people of ritual faith. And he calmed the storm. The angel is in the house, the God we serve is in the house and he's saying change your mind from those common things that disturb you and shift your eyes to the Lord, for where do my help come from? My help doesn't come from east or west, but it comes from the Lord.
Speaker 1:We are able to discern God in crisis. Today I came to tell you the scripture record and says a writer was told to wake up and something good is that when we get to heaven, he's going to tell us how God cooks, because the Bible says there was blood cooked by him, the God of heavens. I'm telling you the miracle that you're about to face. It shall not come from your friends. This will be from design, from heaven. God will do something in your life that you say for sure. This was not a man, this was God. I saw him do it. Can you design it in the spirit? He is about to do it. So that's my first topic. My first point Designing in crisis. Second one I'm giving these guys trouble, the guys in the studio. They don't know if I'm. Point one, point two, point fifteen Work in progress, work in progress, work in progress. My second one is that they designed God in a small voice.
Speaker 1:Let me tell you, some of you, the reason why you have not catch up with what God is doing is because you're still thinking God will do things in a common way. The scripture says in the book of 1 Kings, chapter 11, chapter 19, verse 11 and the Lord said go out and stand in the mountain in the presence of the Lord, for the Lord is about to pass by. A great powerful weed tore the mountains apart, shattered the locks before the Lord, but the Lord was not on the weed. The Lord was not in the Lord, but the Lord was not on the weed. The Lord was not in the weed. After the weed, there was earthquake, but the Lord was not in the earthquake. Then there was fire, and the Lord was not in the fire.
Speaker 1:Some of you are looking God to do a common thing. I told you it's good to design the season because this season is a season of uncommon. Some of you are thinking that the way God is coming is the way he came last year. This is a month of uncommon mind shift. This is the year of uncommon impartation. So God will do things that are not common, and one of the ways that you have to understand Is that the scripture records and says he spoke to him gently, with a soft, small voice. One of the attributes of the Holy Spirit Is gentleness. He is so gentle, he will tell you something so seriously, but he will whisper into your ears.
Speaker 1:So some of us need to keep off from noises and people who speak to us and keep telling us things we need to understand to discern God. I need time alone to hear him. If you read 1 Kings, chapter 19, verse 3, the Bible says A rager was afraid and he ran for his life. When he came to Beersheba in Judah, he left his servants there. This is a man who needed silence. Some of us just need some sirens so that we can discern God in the season that we are in. Some of us our season ended but God said this season is over. But you're still in that season because you never listen to this gentle, soft voice.
Speaker 1:I was telling the first service some of you who are single here God spoke long time ago and told you that season is over For you is a short, dark guy, but everyone else keeps telling you short. We need some sirens so that we may hear God. We need some sirens so that we may hear God. Sirens so that I can hear God. Because, let me shock you, when the children of Israel were in crisis, when the children of Israel were coming out of Egypt and they had seen these men who were coming after them with chariots, the scripture says God spoke to Moses after them with chariots. The scripture says God spoke to Moses. There is nowhere recorded that anyone heard other than Moses alone. So when Moses is telling them this Egyptian, you see, you see them no more. They didn't hear that. Moses was able to hear God at a personal level and discern what God is doing. When he is telling them, we shall soldier on. They are asking what are you telling us? He is telling them I have heard God, but the Holy Spirit is so gentle that he can speak to you in that soft, small that doesn't need a crowd around you.
Speaker 1:Some of us are so noisy, not that they talk a lot. Look at your neighbor suspiciously. They are. Not that they talk a lot, but their heart is full of things. I know when pastors sometimes preach and tell us Some of us are thinking about what is in the microwave. That is noise. Think about what God is saying right now. Catch what God is saying. Prepare your heart when you're coming to church, that I don't want noise. I know I have not paid that school fees, but God will still provide. Oh, I know that, my husband, we are not doing well, but God will still do something. So when I come to church, I don't come with noise Telling me how defeated I am, telling me how poor I am, telling me how unworthy I. So when I come to church, I don't come with noise telling me how defeated I am, telling me how poor I am, telling me how unworthy I am. I want to hear what God has to tell me about my season. He was able to hear God in a soft, gentle voice. Do you know?
Speaker 1:Some of you don't know what description of gentleness is how the spirit of God works. You know, have you ever been prayed by Pastor Ambrose when you're having that issue, not those that you come when you're having just a birthday? Please, pastor, pray for me. I'm having a birthday and I want this year to be just good. No, those issues that you come, things are bad and you tell him Pastor, pray, I'm going to die. And, pastor, just hold your hand and gently that's the spirit of gentleness he holds you and tells you it is done in Jesus' name.
Speaker 1:Go Now. That is gentleness. That is how God will speak to you on some of your serious issues. Bring the same issue to T Contimoday and Pastor Edith. We have something in common. We shall sit on you, step on you, slap you, carry you on our back and if it doesn't happen, because of faith, just the fear the devil will put him. He will run away, tell your neighbor, work in progress, work in progress, work in progress. I will be wringing your hands like whoo. Go Now. This time you come, you have to have space because I can live and lift you up and make sure the devil knows. That was not in my notes.
Speaker 1:Now, isaiah 30. A scripture. I love us to read Isaiah 30, verse 19. A thousand we free at the threat of one. No, verse 19. Let's go to verse 19. Hey, that's interesting. I have never read that one, verse 19. That one, I'll use it next time.
Speaker 1:People of Zion who live in Jerusalem, you will weep no more. How gracious he will be when you cry for help as soon as he hears. He will be when you cry for help. As soon as he hears, he will answer you. Verse 20. Although the Lord gives you the bread of adversity and water of affliction, your teachers will be hidden no more With your own eyes. You will see them. Listen to this. Whether you turn to the right or to the left, your ears will hear a voice behind you saying this is the way. Walk in it. It doesn't matter the trouble you are in, even if you are eating bread of adversity and water full of trouble and affliction.
Speaker 1:Your season is over because very soon you're going to hear a voice telling you this is the way. Go in it. You will turn and God will tell you. Your season of pain and shame has come to an end. It is time for you to rejoice. It is time for you to wake and move. It is time, with his gentleness, the Bible says in the book of John, chapter 10, verse 27, that my sheep knows my voice. They hear me when I call them. We are going to hear that voice of the almighty God telling us this is the way. Let us follow it. You cannot last in that season.
Speaker 1:For that time, god is calling you out of this season. God is saying something in your spirit and before you leave this day, ask God what season am I in and what are you saying about it? Because some of you, god is saying be patient, things will work out. Others are telling you it is overdone and get out, because we have been crying and in pain. Yet I said turn left, but you never heard me. In this month of spirit-led disarmament, we must hear what God is saying, because we are in a season of revival. We cannot be left the way we came. There is a time that has come that we may wake up and say it is over. I need to walk out from this pain and shame. My spirit hears the Lord and I can hear him say turn to the light, for I have something good for you. That's my second point. My third one Designing God is very important and this year, designing God in uncommon impartation, taking action. Let's listen to this.
Speaker 1:When the scripture talks about Elijah, it tells him go and stand on the caves, for the Lord will pass through, and after it says that if you read verse 16, also, he was given some instructions and I don't want to dwell because of time on the instructions and how they had that conversation with God, but the scripture says that he was told to go and anoint some people. One of them was Jehu, and the one that I want to put into emphasis on is Elisha. The scripture says in verse 16, also, anoint for me Jehu, son of Nish, king over Israel, and anoint for me Elisha, son of Zephah from Abel Meror, to succeed you as a prophet. So God appears to this man, erija, and tells him in a soft, small voice. The scripture there before it says that when he heard that it is God, he took a crock and he put it in his face. And now God speaks to him in a soft, small voice, alone in the caves, and tells him go and anoint for me Elisha, to succeed you. The scripture says in verse 19,.
Speaker 1:So Elisha went from there and found Elisha, the son of Sapphira. He was prowling with twelve yoke of oxen and he himself was driving the twelfth pair. So God is speaking to Elisha and tells him go and anoint Elisha. And Elisha we find him in verse 19 where he is working. He is just doing the common things. He is just doing what he is used to do. And he is just doing his, is just doing the common things. He is just doing what he is used to do and he is just doing his work. And the scripture records and says Elijah went to him and threw his crock around him, this crock that he had got when he was praying in the caves. He takes it and throws it away. He doesn't speak to him, but he just pick it and just throw it to him. And the scripture records and says this Elisha then left his oxen and ran after Elisha.
Speaker 1:Let me kiss my father and mother goodbye, he said, and then I will come with you. Elisha got shocked and said go back. Elisha replied what have I done to you? This is a guy who was just working. He was just doing his common thing. Elisha is doing his common thing. Elisha has been spoken to God to go and anoint this prophet called Elisha and he doesn't even speak to him. He just throws a crock to him. And this guy stop what he is doing the common thing. And he runs after him and verse 21 says so. Elisha left him and went back. He took his yoke of oxen and slaughtered them. He burned the prowling equipment to cook the meat and gave it to the people and they ate. Then he set out, following a rider, and became his servant.
Speaker 1:Let me tell you if you have never understood what we have been talking about and common impartation, this is it when we just get what God has said and we discern that the season has come and we hold it and learn it, because we are used to doing the common thing. Now we stop what we have been doing and run to what God is doing. Some of you have been looking with the eyes and understanding Is it God? Is it God who said this thing? Is it God who said it's uncommon? Let me tell you imputation you just get, tell your neighbor, we catch it and we run with it. When we know how to catch this thing, we turn our lives.
Speaker 1:The scripture says look at this man, he is working. God has not even spoken to him. A writer himself has not spoken to him. But the scripture says that he just throws the crock and he holds it and he fills the anointing and he runs with it for the rest of his life. Do you remember this clock? That when Elisha is being taken away, the scripture says that he threw the crock and he got a double portion Because he had got the first portion. Threw the crock and he got a double portion because he had got the first portion.
Speaker 1:God is speaking to some of us and telling us to take action. Some of you are still wondering did it God say? Is it God who said? Is it God who is saying that it is uncommon? Is it that this repetition? Where will it come from? It comes by faith, when you design what God is doing and you take action and you start moving. Tell your neighbor you have sat for a long time.
Speaker 1:God spoke long time ago. There are people, pastor Ambrose, who are still wondering is it common or uncommon, or impartation or spiritless? They are still struggling with it. Just believe it, take it and learn, because the season has come, your season has come. This man, elisha, tells Elisha to follow him. The scripture says he cooked everything. He stopped what he was doing. I'm not telling you to quit what you're doing, but I'm telling you there is something that God wants to do to take you to the next level. You can't dwell in the same common things.
Speaker 1:Some of you came here struggling January for school fees, february because the rent is not paid, and you're still struggling. God is telling you a time has come. I want to impact you that this story may go away. God is going to open avenues in your life that you will walk in a blessing life. You will not go down anymore because your season has come. Have you discerned it? Have you heard what God is telling you?
Speaker 1:Some of you are still crying oh my God, oh my God, come my way. God is saying I came wrong time ago. In fact, it's you who is behind the schedule. God wants to do things in your life but still, when we call you for prayer and fasting, you're still wondering let me do the common things. God is telling us. Let's do this thing as a church in an uncommon way.
Speaker 1:God is calling us to live life beyond what we think and see, because he is doing something special. Look at a man. I want to see him. When I get to heaven, he tells me what do you do when you are stuck into something? How do you change your mind very fast and follow what God is doing? Let me tell you something. It's when you have your spirit quieted and you can be able to detect what God is saying. When you have your spirit that is quiet. The scripture says and Moses was able to hear God and he took action and the water parted their way. Some of us. God is saying to us already I've given you a staff. Put it into the water, step into what God is telling you and you'll see him move and make ways for you, because we are in that season. The Bible says this impartation the Elisha heart, was poured to Elisha a double portion. That is what spirit-read impartation is all about.
Speaker 1:As we take time to pray this morning, I want to ask us has God spoken to you lately? Has God ever spoken to you? Some of us are 40 years, others are 38 years in the Bethesda pool and they've never seen God move in their lives. As we enter in this season of revival, I want to pray that every one of us, by the time we are finishing this revival season, you will see something uncommon in your life. There's something that will just get out of your life never to see them again. There are some doors I trust God will open in your life and you'll move in them. There are some things that you put down and say I will never be part of that again.
Speaker 1:Because I am in an uncommon season and I want to hear God, my prayer is that God will speak to each one of us. God will speak to you, because this is a special year where God wants to impact you with wisdom, with your life. Oh, with good utterance, oh, with reception of him. God is ready to give us something uncommon. God is doing something new in our lives. Let us stand up. I want us to pray, because God is in this place and he promised that he would speak to somebody, and that somebody is you. I want you to open up your mouth and tell God speak to me. God, tell me.
Speaker 1:Which season am I in? God? What is that thing, that one thing that I want to do that you have called me to do in this season? What is that thing that, lord, god, I've been struggling for a long time. Could you have moved on? And I'm still stuck. What is that thing that my mind has got stuck to, pain that has stuck in my life that I pray that this day I can hear God saying wake up, eat, for the time has come. Your season is over of pain and shame. I want us to hear God this morning. Open up your mouth and pray. Tell God, god, speak to me. Let me know what you say.
Speaker 1:Oh, god, I'm a work in progress. Oh, what are you working? My life in this season. Work in it that, god, I may go to the next level. Work in my life, that I may do great things. Work in my life, that I may do great things. Work in my life, that, god, I may see you do good. Father, I pray that this will be my season where I hear God, where I'm spirit-led, when God, I'm hidden in you, the Jehovah God, take time and pray. Let us pray.
Speaker 1:This is an uncommon season. This is not a common preaching. This is God saying that he's about to release this clock on somebody so that they may get it and live their lives never to be in pain anymore. This is a good moment just to allow God to break those things that we have held on to, that they become our gods. Tell God, I want to leave them and I want to discern you in this very season of spirit-read discernment.
Speaker 1:I pray that, god, you may help me. I pray that, god, in your soft voice, that gentle voice, you may speak to me. Speak to me in this soft voice. Speak to me in the morning. Speak to my children. Give them direction, my God, my Lord, as they choose their careers. Speak to them and let them move in the direction you want them to move. My God, I pray for my children to move in the direction of God, in that fear of you alone, oh, my God. Speak to them, my God. Speak to my husband, speak to my wife. Speak to them, my God. Speak to my husband, speak to my wife, speak to them, my God. They may hear you. Oh God, that the decisions they have made, oh God, they may discern you and that, god, their lives may change.
Speaker 1:I pray that this will be a season that, god, you're calling me. Show me which business you want me to start. Even this nation where, god, there is so much that is going on. And, god, our children have felt they better die. They have lost hope. We speak to them this day and say a soft, small voice For Kenya is just in a season, but this season is coming to an end. We are rising up again, for a light has come. This nation is moving to a new dimension. I have no doubt that, god, this is just for a season. The pain that this nation has gone through is just for a season. Our season is coming to an end where we shall live in plenty, where God we shall have too much, where God, we shall have too much. Where God, we shall have too much, too much even to share with our neighbors, because of what the Lord will do. I give you praise this morning, dear Lord, for this is your doing. It's marvelous to our eyes.
Speaker 1:I also pray that if you're in this place and you're not born again that's the genesis of it If you have never given your life to Jesus, you may end up never hearing this voice. This gentle, small voice of the Spirit of God need you to connect the antennas with God. I pray that you don't go home. Before you leave, come and join the elders and the deacons who are in this place and allow them to pray for you. Just tell them I want to give my life to Christ. I don't want to go home without knowing what God is doing. I want to know what God is doing every time as I live in this life, because I want to understand my season. So please don't go home, don't be in a rush. Come and let us pray for you as you dedicate your life to you. Let us pray, father, thank you for your word, thank you for what you've done in our mid-east.
Speaker 1:I know you've done something special to somebody. I know that this day will never be the same for somebody who is in this congregation. Their lives have turned around. They have experienced you, o God. They have designed you, o God. I know, as I shared, lord, they are people you have spoken to. You have given them very good instructions and I know that, god, they will turn to the right or to the left, with the condition of what they hear from God. I also pray, in the name of Jesus, that your spirit may lead your people as they go to their marketplace this week.
Speaker 1:I pray that in their offices. Speak to them In their homes. Speak to them In their schools. Speak to them In whatever they do, in their businesses. Speak to them. Let them know a God who speaks, a God who answers them, a God who turns their stories around. And now I speak. A blessing on Monday. I say you are blessed on Monday, you are blessed on Tuesday, you are blessed on Wednesday, you are blessed on Thursday, you are blessed on Friday, you are blessed on Saturday and Sunday. You are coming back here with a testimony, because we trust a God who is doing great things and we pray this, believing and trusting in that beautiful name of our Lord, jesus Christ and the children of God said and now may the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with us now and forevermore. Amen, shalom. May this week be good.
