October Week 4 Theme Vision: Uncommon Grace Rewriting Your Story.
What if your story didn’t need fixing but a fresh start authored by grace itself? We open 2 Corinthians 5:17 and talk plainly about why life with Christ is not a cosmetic upgrade. It’s a new creation reality where the old is gone and the new has come, not by effort or religious rule-keeping, but by the finished work of Jesus at the cross.
We lean into the difference between self-improvement and spiritual rebirth, drawing on the exchange with Nicodemus in John 3 to show how the kingdom is seen through new birth, not better techniques. Grace is not a system to manage; it’s the person of Jesus who writes with His blood as the ink, taking history and making it His story. That shift changes how we think about guilt, shame, failures, and generational scripts. Instead of dragging the past into our future, we let grace break old yokes and open a path defined by what God intends to build in us.
You’ll hear clear language, Scripture, and practical encouragement to stop panel beating the old self and receive the overhaul only Christ can give. We speak to the heart that feels stuck, to the mind trapped in old labels, and to the person who wonders if a true reset is possible. The answer is yes: salvation by grace through faith means no boasting, only gratitude and bold steps into a future God writes. If you’re ready to stop negotiating with your past and start walking as a new creation, this message will steady your feet and lift your eyes.
If this encouraged you, follow the show, share it with a friend who needs a fresh start, and leave a review so others can find it. What new chapter are you trusting grace to write next?

Greetings and blessings in the mighty name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. I'm very happy today to bring you a word titled Uncommon Grace, rewriting your story. And this word is based on 2 Corinthians chapter 5 and verse 17, which is, I believe, is a very familiar verse. And in case you've never memorized it, I challenge you to memorize this verse. It's very important. 2 Corinthians chapter 5 and verse 17. It says, Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come. The old has gone. Gone, gone, gone. The new is here. In the NIV version, there is even an exclamation mark. The new is here. Three things I want to share about uncommon grace rewriting your story. First of all, this is a grace flowing from Christ. It is not a doctrine. This grace is not a doctrine. This grace is not a religion. This grace is a person. And this is the person of our Lord Jesus Christ. And he is the author of this uncommon grace that rewrites our story. May I just remind you that grace is God's divine pen writing your story. And the ink in that pen is the blood of Jesus Christ. And so this grace has its reference to the cross. And God became a human being. All that work done at the cross by Jesus is the work that authors this grace. And so God did it all so that you don't have to do a thing. And that's why the Bible says, By grace you have been saved. And this is not your doing, it is the work of God, lest any man would boast. Ephesians chapter 2, verse 8 and 9. And so, first of all, I put it to you that this uncommon grace rewriting your story is a grace flowing from Christ. Number two, it is a grace establishing a new beginning. And so this grace is not an improvement plan, it is not panel beating of the old life. No, this grace is an overhaul work. And that is why Jesus told Nicodemus in John chapter 3, verse 3, unless a man is born again, unless a man is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God. And you know, Nicodemus was a Pharisee. He was trying to practice the law. And he came to Jesus thinking that there is another formula to a new beginning. And Jesus put it very clearly to Nicodemus that unless a man is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God. And so this grace establishes a new beginning. It is not there to panel beat or improve the old life. No, no way. It is a grace that births a new life. And let me declare to you today a season of new beginnings, not panel beating, not improvement plan, but God's power releasing a season of new beginnings in your life. All aspects of your life, I declare, in Jesus' name. But finally, it's a grace erasing the past, a grace erasing the past. You know, this grace that rewrites your story does not come to consult your past. It doesn't come to speak to your past to ask how the future will look like on the basis of your history. Actually, let me put it this way: it is a grace that changes history to his story. History to his story. And it's a very powerful grace because it carries, it is in the blood of Jesus Christ. It just simply erases the past. It breaks the yoke of guilt. It breaks the yoke of shame. Breaks the yoke of error. It breaks the yoke of past limitations. And even it breaks the yoke of every negative thing ever spoken in your life. Foundations that are historical and generational. It comes and just approaches them and dismantles them and actually completely does with them. And so this is a grace that erases the past. Let me say this: when God comes to your life, he doesn't look at your past, he looks at your future. People start by looking at your past. Even when you go to apply a job, people look at your past. And they want to give you a job on the basis of that past. But with God, what he's going to do with your life is based on a future. And God does not look at the past, he looks at the future. And so this grace erases the past. And that's why by this grace, then Paul writes, because he knows from a personal experience, he was a murderer, he did all kinds of crazy, chaotic things. But this grace came and wrote his story. And therefore he sums it up in 2 Corinthians 5.17 by saying, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. She is a new creation. The old is gone, gone, gone, gone forever. Behold, the new has come. And so that's why I'm confident as I speak about this grace that God will do something new in your life. Don't look back. Look to the future. Look at God and the future. And may God grant you this new beginning. May your story be rewritten by the grace of God. God bless you big time.
