Greeting And Morning Blessing

SPEAKER_00

Shalom. Good morning. Praise Jesus. This very morning, the last day, or rather the last week of the month of April, I bring to you the meditation word that will usher us in into the new month of May.

Theme: Covenant Activated Through Prayer

SPEAKER_00

And I bring to you the title, A Covenant Activated Through Prayer.

Covenant Versus Contract In Exodus

SPEAKER_00

There's a difference between a covenant and a contract. And I drew my lesson from the book of Exodus when the children of Israel cried unto the Lord. In Exodus chapter 2, verse 23 to 25. It says, During that long period, the king of Egypt died. The Israelites groaned in their slavery and cried out. And their cry for the help because of their slavery went up to God. God had their groaning and he remembered his covenant with Abraham. He remembered his covenant with Isaac. He remembered his covenant with Jacob. And so God looked on the Israelites and was concerned about them.

Remembering Ancient And New Covenants

SPEAKER_00

This very morning, I want us to reflect on the covenant that is triggered through prayer. We are all recipient of covenants. Covenants that were done by our forefathers. Some even it's not we are not it's not known, but we are product of covenants. And therefore, this very morning, the Bible says, and the David said, Psalms 25, verse 6, remember, O Lord, your Tedam Masses, for they are from old. Remember, O Lord, your Tedamasses and your loving kindness, for they are from old. And therefore, this morning, as we reflect about the covenant, and it's a big lesson we can learn about the covenant, the Edenic covenant, the covenant between Adam and God, the Noah covenant, the Abrahamic covenant, the new covenant that now we are actually recipient of the new covenant, the covenant of the new blood with Jesus. I therefore urge and I pray that may we understand what this covenant

Four Results Of Praying With Revelation

SPEAKER_00

brings. And as we pray, and as we understand this, there are things, three things I would like to highlight. What happens when we pray? When what happens when we pray with an understanding? With an understanding, with a revelation. One, enemies are scattered. When we pray, enemies are scattered. So therefore, if there is a covenant that the enemy has come and inflicted or held over your life or your family of a nation, the Bible says, Yahweh, my healer, has had all my pleading and has taken hold of my prayers and answered them all. Psalm 6, verse 9. The enemies are scattered. Second, God is pleased when we pray with an understanding, when we pray with a revelation. Like the children of Israel, they prayed and they reminded God, not because he forgets, they reminded God of a covenant of Abraham, of a covenant of Jacob and Isaac. So God is pleased when we pray. Proverbs 15, verse 8 says, it is dessipable to the Lord when people use the worship of the Almighty as a cloak for their sin. But every prayer of the righteous is pleasing to his heart. Every prayer is pleasing to his heart. So when we actually pray without an understanding, without revelation, God is pleased. I pray this very morning that you shall pray with an understanding that will please God. The third thing about when we pray is that a prayer transforms us before it transforms our situation. When you are praying for a situation, it first of all transforms you. Luke chapter 9, verse 29, we see the prayer. As he prayed, this is Jesus, his face began to glow until a blinding glory streamed from him. A radiant glory illuminated his entire body. His brightness became so intense that it made his clothing blinding white as multiple flashes of brightening. The third fourth thing, the final thing is that God, when we pray, prayer builds our spirits.

Covenant Reminder And Closing Shalom

SPEAKER_00

You shall remind God the covenant that He put read. You shall remind God the covenant, the new covenant of our Savior Jesus Christ. So God bless you. Shalom, shalom.
